Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is with great pleasure that we are debuting a brand new collaborative single series we call Philly On Tape. Over the past six months we’ve been linking up with talented artists across Philly, producing instrumental tracks for them, and having them write and record vocals (or lead instrumentals) over our tracks. All while locked down in quarantine, maintaining our distance, keeping it safe and healthy. It’s been a thrill connecting with other driven creatives through these trying, isolated times. It’s honestly kept us alive through the madness of the past year. For that reason we consider these songs extra special.
The first single from Philly On Tape is “Summer Night Sounds”, a blazing slice of spaghetti western soul featuring the uber talented Stereo League. Featuring soaring vocals from lead singer Alex Savoth, and a scorching solo from guitarist Dan King, the song is a swaggering ode to the kind of hazy, endless summer nights we are all so desperately craving right now.
If you like what you hear, you’re in luck. This is just the beginning of the Philly On Tape series, as we’ve got more Synth & Soul collaborations coming your way every couple of weeks. Stay tuned and for now, enjoy the sweet Synth & Soul of Eraserhood Sound and Stereo League.
