SCORING
Eraserhood Sound has developed a unique, signature approach to scoring in the world of television and film. Their latest work can be seen in the new PBS KIDS program Carl The Collector, where Eraserhood Sound underscores the entirety of every episode and also composed the show's theme song.
The music of Carl The Collector features a wide range of influences, including soul, funk, jazz, Brazilian, boogie, New Wave, hip hop, and more. Each episode's score is written, performed, recorded, and mixed by Vincent John and Maxwell Perla at their studio in Philadelphia.
Zachariah OHora, the creator of Carl The Collector, requested a sophisticated, soulful sound for his show, and cited Eraserhood Sound's 2021 Ribelle Di Mare LP as a source of inspiration. Perla and John's subtle yet complex arrangements set the mood for every scene, all while maintaining an adventurous, thoughtful approach.
In April of 2026, Eraserhood Sound released the official score to Carl The Collector on digital and physical formats. Sound Spectrum: A Collection of Themes From Carl The Collector features 34 songs, including the show's indelible theme. Each track on the album is pulled directly from episodes of Carl The Collector's unforgettable first season. From funky fuzz freakouts to somber, introspective ballads, enjoy some of Vincent and Maxwell’s favorite musical moments from the show. Stream it on the platform of your choice or purchase a copy of the vinyl or compact disc from the Eraserhood Sound Web Store.
